the poundshop   The Poundshop is a platform for designers to sell designer goods under the strict brief that the product is to be sold for £1.
An idea founded by design collective Household and Illustrator Sara Melin, the very first pop/up The Poundshop had a successful launch in April
2010 with 42 designers followed
by a second shop during London Design Week with 57 designers. A Christmas edition of The Poundshop was held
in 2010 at Somerset House as part of Super Christmas Market. After taking a break The Poundshop returned for 2011 at London Design Week, launching for a pop/up webshop as part of Highstreet 2012 and special Christmas launch at Downstairs at Mother.

  The Poundshop Tour

The Poundshop hit the road with a selection of our ‘best of’ products to promote 2012′s upcoming Poundshop 6 and 7. With a portable shop designed by Studio Good One, The Poundshop joined several events around London and ended the tour at Secret Garden Party.
